Oddsocks Revival
Oddsocks Revival, one of the most exciting live acts to hit the Irish music scene are bringing their epic live performance to Europe this March. Oddsocks Revival have just finished recording their eagerly anticipated debut album, which is due for release at Easter. These Sligo natives have been touring Ireland constantly since April 2010. They have played every town and city in Ireland and have never failed to impress with their infectious character and energetic show. Their Irish tour culminated at the prestigious Electric Picnic festival where they blew a huge crowd away when they played directly before Sea Sick Steve, who could be seen bopping to their grooves back stage. The band will be touring the UK in February and March.
With shades of Rory Gallagher and hints of George Clinton, they are able to draw you into their live performance and make you feel part of the show. These guys are a good time rock and roll, funk and blues band that live for the music. Oddsocks Revival have toured and performed with the infamous Alabama 3 and just recently jammed with Tommy Ramone at one of their legendary after parties. On this tour the band will be doing three London shows; Joining Primal Scream in Brixton, Alabama 3 at their request and fellow Irish band The Rubberbandits.
Oddsocks Revival take to the stage as four strong vocalists creating unique harmonies, two lead guitarists that dual Thin Lizzy style, with phat basslines that rival the funk legend Bootsy Collins and pounding drums not heard since the death of John Bonham. They have been playing together since they were kids and have a powerful connection on stage that is evident at every show. With a striking stage presence and a high energy performance they deliver a surprising blend of musical styles to the audience at every gig.
With an eclectic genre mix, Oddsocks Revival attract a dedicated following of groove lovers aging from 16 to 66. The band create a great atmosphere everywhere they go which always gets the crowd partying. Oddsocks Revival play with the sole purpose of bringing good time Rock & Roll back!
