Fallen Drakes

The Fallen Drakes are one of irelands most promising new bands forming in 2009. They recently became Ireland’s first unsigned band to ever play Dublin’s O2 Arena when they supported The Commitments on their recent reunion show in front of 13,000 people. They beat 430 bands from across Ireland and netted approximately 13,000 votes from the public to win the coveted support slot hosted by Tony Fenton on the Today FMs unsigned band competition

The Fallen Drakes were narrowed down from thousands of bands by top UK music industry bloggers to the last 123 acts in the Glastonbury's 2011 Emerging Talent Competition, they were one of the only few Irish bands to make the short list

Ireland’s leading music magazine: ‘Hotpress’ featured The Fallen Drakes heavily, comparing them to the likes of The Script along with Popular Culture magazine ‘U Magazine’ and ‘The Sunday World’, both attributing The Fallen Drakes as the ‘Next Biggest Thing’.

They released their debut EP ‘Death of an Actress’ in January 2011 after working with celebrated producer Ger McDonnell (U2, Dido and Kasabian).

They have played two documented Sold-Out EP launches in Dublin and Cork and have been recently invited to play showcases in London by the UK Discovering Arts Music Group.

With their current release and momentum, 2011 will see The Fallen Drakes take it to the next level and prove that they are the next big thing as they plan to tour Ireland and the UK throughout the rest of the year while writing material for their debut album
