Festival Activities
Live music will be complemented by a unique arts trail, a path embedded in the stunning natural setting of the old rockery; encounter a world filled with the kooky, colourful, weird and wonderful. The Arts Trail involves a great array of work by local and national based artists with creations ranging from giant pink flamingos; alien fork people, punk birds, life size wire sculptures, recycled art and more installations of all shapes and sizes and in all kinds of locations. Performance Artists will also be in situ along the trail, inviting people to join in on the fun.
A Medieval village will offer a wonderful interaction of living history displays and period tents. Medieval folk, who are in character for the entire weekend, delight in sharing their enthusiasm and knowledge of these fascinating times. Battle re-enactments seem to be a particular favourite! Carrowmore Archers are back this year for more tuition and fun. Each session will be 45 minutes with a 15 min gap between each one for kitting up and down etc. The price will be as last year €10 per person for adults and children.

Each person will be given a Score Sheet on the day and in each session their last 9 arrows will allow them to make a score. The 2 highest scores on each day will win a prize. For the best 2 Adults on each day this will be €30 each cash plus a free 1 and 1/2 hour Have a Go session each at the Club shooting grounds. Under 12s winners get 2 x Free Have a Go sessions each for the best two each day.
SHHHHH….. Temple House Music & Arts Festival has a secret!
Big Mama has sneaked into the walled garden and planted a magical plot especially for young festival-goers (under 12s) and their families. Big Mama’s Garden will be full of wonderful things to see and do during the award winning festival which takes place from 10-12 June in the stunning grounds of the Temple House Estate near Ballymote, Sligo. The Temple House Festival is very family friendly – adults are welcome to bring up to two children under 12 for FREE when they purchase either a day ticket for €50 or weekend ticket for €120. Tickets are available from www.ticketmaster.ie Kids (and adults) will be able to catch a show in the Glitter Bug Theatre, dance, juggle or make some music in the Bee Hive, get creative in the potting shed or simply relax in the lazy beds. Each day will be full of enchanting and playful activities for children under 12. A fully scheduled programme of activity in Big Mama’s garden will start at 10am on Saturday and Sunday will continue until the bedtime parade at 8pm. This is a magical garden were imagination grows! Things to look out for: Big Mamma (she really is big!) The Wishing Line The Sand Pit The Bubbling Bird Bath The Giggle Tree, Riddle Tree and Wisdom Tree.
